On May 29, 1861 the parochialization of LLoa (Plain on High) was declared; located on the very slopes of the Guagua Pichincha volcano, which in turn hides it from the great city of Quito. Lloa constitutes the largest parish in the Metropolitan District of Quito, since it has a territory of 544 km2, it is located at a height that varies between 1,800 masl and 4,675 masl, due to its geographical condition LLoa has a variety of great variety of flats climatic

ATTRACTIVE
* The most important attraction is the Guagua Pichincha volcano (4784 masl). The refuge is 40 minutes from Lloa

* The waterfalls called Siete Caras, a place to relax and also to observe a great variety of flora and fauna

HOW TO GET?
Private transport: Take Mariscal Sucre avenue, take the detour to La Mena 2 neighborhood, and Angamarca street, 10 km you reach the town center of Lloa.
Public transport: Arrives at the entrance to La Mena 2, av. Mariscal Sucre and Angamarca, take the TransLloa bus (green buses).
* The Urauco hot springs is a great place for medicinal tourism. There are also haciendas for horseback riding or agricultural activities.

* The Sanctuary of the Virgen del Cinto, is the main cultural attraction of the parish, also serves as a viewpoint to observe the Pichincha volcano
